Soybean in the southern zone: a better plant and better health without any synthetic application against fungi

Technicians checking a soybean field

Comparative plot 2025/26: grain Brix from 7 to 10, more pods and more weight per plant, and less purple seed stain in a year of constant rain.

What was done

Comparative plot on the farm of a soybean grower in the southern zone, 2025/26 season: treated plot against control plot, under the same management conditions. The treated plot received VitaCrop and VitaTricol in the four applications of the cycle, from V3 to R5, and received no synthetic application against fungi. Both plots started with the same Brix degree: the difference only appears after the first application.

How it was applied

The four applications are those of the soybean management plan: V3 to V4 with VitaCrop 2 L, VitaTricol 3 L and VitaN2 0.3 L per hectare; V6 to V8, R1 to R3 and R3 to R5 with VitaCrop 2 L and VitaTricol 2 L. Each one goes mixed with the spray mix of that stage, with chlorine-free water and prepared at the time of use.

What was measured

  • Grain Brix degrees: from 7.0 to 10.0 on the treated plot.
  • 1,000-seed weight: from 135 to 155 grams.
  • Pods per plant: from 65.3 to 71.
  • Pod weight per plant: from 52.4 to 58.2 grams.
  • Cercospora incidence: moderate on the control, lower on the treated plot, with no application against fungi.

On a second comparative plot, of another grower in the same zone, a yield above the control was also recorded.

Why the plant responds this way

VitaCrop activates the plant's metabolism and the biology of the rhizosphere at the same time, and stimulates the plant immune system. More Brix degrees mean a metabolically more active plant: more immunity, more flavour and more market value. VitaTricol supports it with three live microorganisms, one fungus antagonistic to pathogens and two bacteria, which compete with the fungi for space and food.

What it means for the grower

Health without any synthetic application against fungi, in the worst possible year to achieve it: a season of constant rain, well above normal, in which the treated plot kept better leaf health without a single application. The soybean reduction programme does the same in four passes: the first, the one with the lowest return, is replaced with biology, with follow-up of the plot.

An honest note

These are results observed on a comparative plot, preliminary, from a single season. The observation of plant health was provided by the technical team of the farm itself. We are repeating them this season before giving them any more weight.
